In London

During a memorable visit to England to read at London’s International Poetry Festival, Robert Creeley composed this long poem, which he later described as “a kind of pot pourri of echoes, musings, reflections, notes, a shorthand for all the rush of impressions and feelings, which the city provoked in me.” Like Chicago by Lewis Warsh and Tom Clark, this 7-inch by 10-inch chapbook was printed letterpress in San Francisco, a deviation from Angel Hair’s more typical mimeo printing style.
