Although Boxes with Respect initially looks like a typical codex, a closer look reveals a sculptural binding with three-dimensional pages that echo the text’s theme. Images of boxes recur throughout the interior, embroidered in raised thread and printed letterpress on Thai mulberry paper. Ana Paula Cordeiro and Brigid Ellen Ewald designed, printed, embroidered, and hand bound the book.
