Alice M. Vinson created this innovative artist’s book when she was a Studio Art student at the University of Arizona. Soft opens like a fruit to reveal seed-like discs of paper connected to each other with white string. Each disc is debossed with synonyms of the word “soft.” Vinson says this book represents the mental process of “sifting through a tangle of words in the hopes of finding that ‘perfect’ one.”
