My Love_detail.jpg

Geometric illustration of a black crow and a red, sideways heart.

Written by the Poetry Center’s own Richard Shelton, this love poem is almost boastful in its joy. Shelton was the husband of the late Lois Shelton, who served as director of the Poetry Center from 1970 to 1990 and is the person this poem is likely about. This large, bright blue broadside was printed by The University of Arizona Poetry Center and includes an illustration of a black crow hovering above a bright red heart.
