Eileen Myles published two issues of Dodgems in the late 1970s. The cover of the first issue, which features nuns on bumper cars, sets the irreverent tone for the journal as a whole. Dodgems' contributor lists include luminaries such as Alice Notley, Maureen Owen, Ron Padgett, and Ted Berrigan--alongside the famous comedienne Lily Tomlin, whose letter politely declining an invitation to contribute to the magazine is reprinted in full.
