This sequence of short poems was published late in Barbara Guest’s life (she passed away in 2006) and has since gone out of print. The Poetry Center was delighted to acquire this copy, which is an important artifact of the poet’s later development. Guest’s career spanned decades and evolved consistently throughout her lifetime: she began her career in alignment with the New York School of the mid-twentieth century and later moved to explorations of L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E poetry.
