From a Milkweed Pod, Frost’s 1954 Christmas greeting, begins as an an affectionate paean to the milkweed plant, beloved of butterflies. The poem ends in a striking meditation on intemperance and uncertainty. Wood-engravings for this card were done by Thomas W. Nason.
